About Sustainable Arlington

Mission:
Sustainable Arlington acts on a local level to promote climate stabilization and other important environmental goals.
Note: We address a wide range of topics to address current issues and to highlight subjects that appear likely to be affect the Town and its residents in the near future, including home and transportation energy use as well as local environment, biodiversity and ecosystem circumstances.
Events:
Sustainable Arlington holds monthly meetings and we invite you to attend.  Please visit our events calendar on the main web page to find out when the next meeting is and where it will be held. The calendar is actively managed and also lists other sustainability and environmental events in Arlington and nearby communities.
Activities in Town:
Since its founding in 1998, Sustainable Arlington has held public events to bring attention to climate issues for residents, businesses and Town departments.  Look for us at Town Day in September. We also collaborate with other local environmental groups and with the Town of Arlington.

Arlington EcoFest — Began as an annual free public event held at Arlington Town Hall in March. Sustainable Arlington has been one of the event organizers, and/or particpants, since 2011.  Beginning during the pandemic, the Town Trash & Recycling Coordinator and the Arlington Public Schools Sustainability Coordinator took over organizing the overall EcoFest program, and the format expanded to include a number of events, both hybrid and in person, over several weeks. Read about Arlington EcoFest 2023 here.
