One of the requirements to receive the state rebate for solar power is to have a home energy assessment within the last six years. Sustainable Arlington and the Solarize Arlington Team are happy to be partnering with a locally-owned business, Sagewell, to offer these energy assessments. The assessments are free and are conducted by a qualified home performance contractor. To request your free energy assessment go to www.sagewell.com/assessment or call Sagewell at 617.963.8141. Note that this assessment is separate from the solar assessment that will be done by Solarflair. The home energy assessment will identify energy efficiency opportunities and provide information on how to take advantage of utility rebates and incentives. Even if you think your home is not a good candidate for solar power, or you had an energy assessment a few years ago, it is still a great idea to get a free home energy assessment.
