About this Event

Each summer, North Atlantic right whales swim right off the coast of New Hampshire. They socialize together at the water’s surface, and mothers -- who form strong bonds with their calves -- speak with their young in low whispering tones.

Tragically, there are only about 400 right whales left, and their numbers are sinking. Without strong action, these gentle, social creatures will go extinct.

Join us for a webinar edition of the Right Whale Road Show and learn about this majestic species through a digital tour of artwork from local students and artists. You'll hear stories from right whale experts, and we’ll even show you how you can take action to protect these incredible whales.

WHEN: Thursday, April 9, 6pm-7pm

WHERE: Zoom (You'll receive a link via email two days before the event and also on the day of the event)

SPEAKERS: Heather Pettis, Associate Scientist, New England Aquarium; Erica Fuller, Senior Attorney, Conservation Law Foundation; Michaela Morris, Oceans Associate, Environment New Hampshire

Webinar is free.

Sponsors: Environment New Hampshire, Seacoast Science Center, Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation, Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs, the New England Aquarium, and Conservation Law Foundation
